If your child loves the illusion-style movements made famous by performers such as Michael Jackson — robotic movement, sharp hits, waves and movements that almost don’t look possible — this could be the class for them.

Popping, Animation and Robot are styles built around control, musicality, precision and creating visual illusions with the body. At Academy Arts, dancers get the opportunity to explore all three, making this a completely unique class offering in Wales.

What makes the training even more special is where the knowledge comes from. Led by Ebony, the training is influenced directly by their connections with pioneers of these styles and their own experience within the international Animation Dance scene. Students learn more than impressive moves; they develop an understanding of the foundations, techniques the skill to apply these with confidence.

Academy Arts offers access to specialist training in these styles that you won’t find elsewhere in Wales. Class takes place every Wednesday in St Paul’s Centre suitable for ages 6+
