Jazz & Lyrical is perfect for dancers who want to develop their technique, flexibility and performance while exploring two different styles of dance.

At Academy Arts, dancers work on important technical skills including turns, kicks, leaps, flexibility, strength, control and coordination. These foundations help students become stronger, cleaner and more versatile dancers and support their development across other areas of dance too.

Jazz gives dancers the chance to work on sharp, dynamic movement, technique and performance, while Lyrical introduces a softer and more expressive style, encouraging dancers to explore emotion and storytelling through movement.

Classes are supportive and enjoyable while still challenging dancers to improve. Whether your child wants to strengthen their overall dance technique, become a more versatile performer or simply discover a new style they love, Jazz & Lyrical is a brilliant addition to their training.

Our Jazz & Lyrical classes are for ages 6–14 and take place every Saturday at Western Avenue Presbyterian Church in Port Talbot.
