FREESTYLE
CLASSES IN PORT TALBOT
Freestyle is for dancers aged 7–16 who love to move, create and find their own way of expressing the music. Unlike choreography-based classes where everyone learns the same routine, Freestyle gives dancers the freedom to explore movement, make their own choices and discover what makes them unique.
At Academy Arts, we help dancers build the tools they need to feel confident creating in the moment, developing musicality, creativity, movement vocabulary and their own individual style. It’s perfect for imaginative children who don’t want to be limited by set choreography, as well as dancers who want to become stronger, more confident freestylers.
For those who aspire to compete, Freestyle is also an important part of their training. Dancers learn how to respond to different music, make an impact, think independently and bring something to the floor that feels completely their own.
Whether your child is naturally individual, loves making up their own movement or wants to develop the skills to compete, Freestyle gives them the space and training to find what makes them different.
Freestyle classes for ages 6–17 take place on Thursdays at the Presbyterian Church on Western Avenue.
