Acro is an exciting combination of dance and acrobatic skills, helping children develop flexibility, strength, balance and control while working towards skills they’ll be proud to achieve.

 

At Academy Arts, Acro isn’t just about learning tricks. Dancers work individually, with partners and as part of a group, building trust, teamwork and confidence while exploring exciting balances, lifts and group skills. Each child is challenged at their own level, with a focus on developing the strength and technique behind each movement.

 

Our Acro dancers also get exciting opportunities to bring their skills to the stage through Academy Arts shows, performances and events, giving them something to work towards and memories to be proud of.

 

Our Acro classes are for ages 5-17 and take place every Monday at St Paul’s Centre in Port Talbot.
